Preferred solution: I'm not sure if my professor or webassign made it this way... but it shouldn't cost money to access homework. Only should be necessary if you want the study materials

Crap website made by crap people, maintained by crap people where none of them know how to make a simple box in website to write test answers. I mean, how much *** inefficient, oblivious web developer does someone have to be to have a unnecessary calcPad available in some questions but does not accept simple numbers.
If People get an answer in fractions or trigonometry, why would you require people to put answers through your *** calcPad calculator which looks way different than a normal calculator. And if people just wanna type in answers using '0-9' or 'A-Z' inputs why doesn't this *** webassign doesn't save the answers, why does this crap website doesn't even let people put answers using android keyboard. Do you want people to carry around a fregging desktop with them to just put answers in your crap webassign website? There's no way to know if this crap calcPad would work in a device in advance, or if this crap webassign would allow answers to be inputted from a device in advance before trying it.
Do you want people to start a test and do some questions and figure out then oh wait the crap designer didn't allow simple numbers to be inputtable from device.
Webassign allowed me to put in answers of only 25% of questions in my test of webassign , all of those I got correct. But it didn't even let me type in anything in the remaining 75% of questions, now I'm not an A student anymore because of incomplete programming of this webassign website.

I thought I was insane
I'm a gifted, straight A Dean's List student and I feel like a complete *** idiot because of this Calc 1 class. Everything I've learned, I've learned thanks to youtube videos and other websites.
I'm not just disappointed, I'm on the *** of organizing a petition to stop this book and website from ever being used at my college again.
The site and book have very few examples. The examples don't explain their steps (no narrative at all) and often skip multiple steps in one turn so it's difficult to track where the numbers and variables went. To add insult to injury, solutions are completed in a single-line, paragraph-style entry that makes it damn near impossible to see how many steps are being worked and what, exactly, they are. It's like they want you to suffer for practice.
I've never felt so uninspired by education in my life. I'm nearly reduced to tears every single time I use this site and accompanying book. I paid nearly $300 for this?
What a sadistic joke. Even the tutors at my school say the explanations are hideous and confusing.

I am taking the calc 1 as a refresher (transfer engineering student to embry-riddle) and it makes me feel like an idiot snd making me re think eveything I know about math for no reason at all other than the prgram enjoys verbose, overly complicated explanations of some of the simplest mathmaticsl concepts. Im so pissed an upset

This is exactly how I feel. Tuition pays for Canvas, where tests and assignments can be given or graded.
A traditional book with traditional, considered homework would be ten times the pedagogical tool a traditional book I could carry with me and review and study from would be. So, if a department or instructor is forcing anyone to pay for this piece of *** software, it is because they are forcing students to buy their convenience for them.
